１０代からブルースに夢中になり１９才の夏、１０穴ハープを吹き始める。
ブルースを中心にカントリー、ジャズ、フュージョン、
ロック、ポップス、演歌などジャンルレスに演奏。
その温かく分厚い音色、情熱的な演奏と高い技術力は
職人気質な魅力に満ち溢れ、国内外のハープ･マニアを唸らせる。
ライヴ、レッスン、セミナーが主な活動だがアーティストやテレビ等のレコーディング参加、
ラジオ出演、演劇での生演奏などでも活躍。
１９９９年 オリジナルインスト曲を収めた１ｓｔアルバム ｢ＨＡＲＰ ＴＯＮＥ｣ 発表。
収録曲がドラマや旅番組、演劇などで使用される。
２０１１年 ビッグ･ウォルターのナンバーを中心とした２枚目のアルバム
ブルースアルバム ｢ＪＯＥ’Ｓ ＢＯＯＧＩＥ｣ 発表。
JOE became fascinated with the blues in his teens and began playing the 10-hole harp in the summer of his 19th year. He plays a wide variety of genres, including blues, country, jazz, fusion, rock, pop, and enka. His warm, rich tone, passionate playing, and high technical ability are filled with the charm of a craftsman, and have impressed harp enthusiasts both in Japan and abroad. While his main activities include live performances, lessons, and seminars, he is also active in recordings with artists and on television, making radio appearances, and performing live in theater. In 1999, he released his first album, “HARP TONE,” featuring original instrumental songs. His songs have been used in TV dramas, travel programs, and theater productions. In 2011, he released his second album, “JOE’S BOOGIE,” a blues album centered around Big Walter songs.

１９９５年 ＭＢＳ毎日放送 原田伸郎,笑福亭笑瓶出演のバラエティー
｢ブルースでおちかづき｣のＢＧＭ担当。
１９９８年 ファッション雑誌 Ｚｉｐｐｅｒ主催のイベントに出演。本誌にも掲載。
１９９８年 ＭＢＳラジオ ますだおかだ, 堀ちえみ出演 ｢週末アールキューデラックス｣ の
番組企画クリスマスソングに参加。
１９９９年 １ｓｔアルバム ｢ＨＡＲＰ ＴＯＮＥ｣ 発表。
小出斉ライナー、コメントは石川二三夫。発売後、ＢＳの旅番組などで使用される。
同年 ブルース＆ソウル・レコーズ,ＢＬＵＥＳ ＭＡＲＫＥＴのアルバムレビューに「ＨＡＲＰ ＴＯＮＥ」掲載。
同年 雑誌 関西じつわ に活動の模様が掲載される。

２００５年 日本経済新新聞に演奏活動やレッスンの模様が掲載される。
同年 フランスの世界的ハーピスト ジャン・ジャック・ミルトゥ初来日。
大阪公演の前座を務め、ミルトゥのライヴでは後半１時間近く
ツイン・ハープで共演。
２００５年～２００８年頃 ＭＢＳラジオ 上泉雄一の番組にゲスト出演。
２０１０年 ２ｎｄアルバム｢ＪＯＥ’Ｓ ＢＯＯＧＩＥ｣ 発表。

２０１８年 京都で行われた西濱哲男主催の妹尾隆一郎トリビュートライヴに参加。
２０１９年 日本ブルースシーンの黎明期から活躍するシンガー福嶋 “タンメン” 岩雄のアルバムに参加。
２０２４年 ブルースのイベントとしては国内最大規模の 堺ブルースフェスティバル に初出演、
トリを務める菊田俊介のステージに参加。
1995: In charge of background music for the variety show “Blues de Chikazuki” on MBS Mainichi Broadcasting, starring Harada Noburo and Shofukutei Shohei.
1998: Appeared at an event sponsored by fashion magazine Zipper. Also featured in the magazine.
1998: Participated in a Christmas song planned for the program “Weekend RQ Deluxe” on MBS Radio, starring Masuda Okada and Hori Chiemi.
1999: Released first album “HARP TONE”. Liner by Koide Sai, comments by Ishikawa Fumio. After its release, it was used on BS travel programs and the like. In the same year, “HARP TONE” was featured in the album review of Blues & Soul Records and BLUES MARKET. In the same year, an article about their activities was published in the magazine Kansai Jitsuwa.
*2000s – 2000: “HARP TONE” was featured in the album review of the free music magazine JUNGLE LIFE. Around 2000, a song from the album “HARP TONE” was used in the TV Asahi drama “OL Visual Kei.”
In 2005, footage of his performances and lessons was published in the Nihon Keizai Shin Shimbun. In the same year, he made his first visit to Japan with world-renowned French harpist Jean-Jacques Miltoux. He opened for his Osaka performance and performed with Miltoux on twin harps for nearly an hour in the latter half of his live show.
Around 2005 – 2008: He appeared as a guest on Yuichi Kamiizumi’s program on MBS Radio.
In 2010, he released his second album, “JOE’S BOOGIE.” Comments from Mark Hummel, Sugar Ray Norcia, and Jean Jacques Milteau were published in an album review in Blues & Soul Records in the same year.
Around 2010, he appeared on Radio Kansai’s “Blues Night” several times. In 2010, he appeared at the Shinji Shiotsugu tribute rive in Osaka, along with Emi Kobayashi, Seizo Yamada, Marty Bracy, and Hiroshi Hata.
In 2012, he was featured in the “Asking Harmonica Players” section of Mie Seno’s “Blues Harmonica Greedy Guide” by KOTEZ.
In 2018, he participated in the Ryuichiro Seno tribute rive in Kyoto, hosted by Tetsuo Nishihama.
In 2019, he participated in an album by Fukushima “Tanmen” Iwao, a singer active since the dawn of the Japanese blues scene.
In 2024, he made his first appearance at the Sakai Blues Festival, the largest blues event in Japan, joining Kikuta Shunsuke on stage as the final act.
